2008 Treasure Valley YMCA Community Fitness Events Schedule BSU Biology Club
The Boise State University Biology Club has developed a fun
and educational outreach program that provides opportunities to Scout
leaders and their youth to learn various aspects in Biology. This outreach
program not only allows BSU Biology students to serve their community, but also
hopes to generate interest from children, primarily ages 6-12, in the sciences.
We offer the following activities with information on: Genetics Bones Fingerprinting Animals DNA These activities can be geared to a specific topic or
question that the leader wants covered. Each activity takes approximately 20
minutes; we require that a minimum of 2 activities be scheduled. The majority
outreach activities take place on the Boise State Main Campus; however we are
able to travel to schools on a limited basis. Please contact me, by phone or
email, for details on scheduling, specific curriculum involved in each activity,
and any other questions that you may have. We are very excited about this program and I hope to hear
