Shadow Valley Golf Course

Enjoy a great day of golf, and help Treasure Valley youth.

You can do this by signing up for the 2008 Hal Walker Memorial Golf Classic, benefiting the Ore-Ida Council, Boy Scouts of America.  When you participate, you help the Ore-Ida Council further the building of character in young people through the Scouting program in southwestern Idaho and eastern Oregon.

This Boy Scout Golf Classic is also a great opportunity to promote your company or products through a corporate sponsorship.  A specially designed sign will recognize your sponsorship.  Sponsorships include green fees, cart, range balls, lunch and prizes.

Who was Hal Walker?

Hal Walker served in the Mountain Home area in many capacities, including service as Scoutmaster, Explorer Leader, Varsity Coach, Scout Committee Member and Merit Badge Counselor.  He also served adult leaders as District Chairman, Wood Badge Course Director, District Wood Badge Coordinator, Council Commissioner and on the Council Executive Board.  Hal was also the recipient of the Silver Beaver Award for Distinguished Service to Youth.
