Dear BSA Supporters , Welcome to the latest edition of Scouting E-News. This newsletter is part of a new Web site launched recently by the National Council to help local councils reconnect with some of the millions of Americans who have worn a Scout uniform at some time in their lives. For many, the years spent in Scouting hold many fond memories of friends, adventures, and growing up. So, you say, “Why are you telling me all this? I am involved in Scouting.” Well maybe you know someone who is not currently involved in Scouting. Maybe a family member, coworker, neighbor, or someone from church. Perhaps they can't commit to regular Scouting work as a leader or committee member, but would like to keep in touch with what Scouting is doing in their community, back home, or throughout the country. You can help by Spreading the Word about this new Web site. When a former member reconnects with Scouting through ScoutingFriends.org they will receive electronic newsletters from the National Council a few times a year. They will also hear from their local council about upcoming activities and events. They can keep up on the great work Scouting is doing in the lives of young people. So please, take a few minutes and help us reconnect with someone who had a great Scouting experience. We thank you...and so will they. |
