The Dance Teamis comprised of youth and adults with an interest in Native American culture and pow wow style dancing. It is chartered by the Ore Ida Council as a co-educational Venturing Crew. Members may belong to the Order of the Arrow and/or be registered as a member of the Venturing Crew to participate.

With a current membership of 28 dancers, the members of the team practice and study the history of the various dance styles. They design and make their own outfits or regalia (not costumes please) based upon their particular style of dancing. The Dance Team performs at various Council events and they regularly appear for Packs and Troops or other special events.

Letter of Thanks

Experience of individual dancers ranges from a few months to many decades. The Crew meets during the school year from 7:00 to 8:30 every other Monday evening in the basement of the Ore Ida Council office. To learn more about joining the Dance Team or to schedule a performance for your unit, contact Terry Crist at 362-4700.
